It is claimed the SPL club want double that amount and even the promise of three pre-season friendlies against the Tangerines would not convince them to sell. 29/11/13: Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus was scouted by United during the midweek Champions League win over Napoli, according to The Times. The Germany international midfielder scored in a 3-1 victory against Rafa Benitez's side.
29/11/13: The Scottish Sun reckons United are despatching a delegation north of the border on Friday night to watch Dundee United's highly-rated teenager Ryan Gauld. The Tangerines take on Kilmarnock in the Scottish Cup with a posse of scouts certain to be in attendance but the tabloid claims David Moyes is leading the chase for his signature.
28/11/13: The Daily Mail believes that Sevilla left-back Alberto Moreno is a £25million target for United and Chelsea. The newspaper claims the Spain international is viewed as a possible option in the January market, along with Real Madrid's Fabio Coentrao, as he is eligible to play in the Champions League.
26/11/13: Cruzeiro midfielder Everton Ribeiro has revealed he would be interested in a move to United. The 24-year-old reacted to speculation in Brazil about his future by telling SporTV: "I will continue doing my job here at Cruzeiro but plan on getting to a big club. It's a dream I've had since I was young. I've always liked Manchester United but haven't talked with my agent yet."

31/12/13: The Daily Telegraph reckons David Moyes is plotting bids for Leighton Baines or Luke Shaw but believes Everton and Southampton will price the players out of any January transfer. The two left-backs are likely to compete for an England berth for the foreseeable future. Other reports claim a £16million bid for Baines will fail while the Reds will test the Saints' resolve to hang onto Shaw with a £20million offer.
31/12/13: Ross Barkley is a stunning £50million target for the Reds, according to the Manchester Evening News. An exclusive story in the local paper suggests David Moyes wants to raid his former club Everton again for the promising midfielder after landing Marouane Fellaini in the summer.
31/12/13: Dinamo Zagreb forward Robert Muric is being linked with a move to United by the Croatian press. 24sata quotes the 17-year-old's father as confirming it is almost certain the youngster will quit Zagreb and Manchester is forwarded as a possible destination for the teenager.

The Slavia Sofia defender told Bulgarian TV: "According to their feedback, they were very pleased with me. I made a lot of good friends there and enjoyed the stay." 04/01/14: Bayern Munich are set to sign Robert Lewandowski on a pre-contract after he underwent a medical with Pep Guardiola's side, reports Bild. The Borussia Dortmund striker always looked likely to move within the Bundesliga in the summer of 2014 but was constantly linked with United and other Premier League clubs.
02/01/14: Le 10 Sport reckons United are prepared to break the bank to sign Arturo Vidal this month. The Juventus midfielder has insisted he wants to remain in Turin but David Moyes is said to be an admirer of the Chile international.
01/01/14: The Daily Mirror believes United have been alerted by Juan Mata's reaction to being substituted at Southampton and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho's subsequent comments about the Spanish playmaker. Although the Blues chief stated: "I want to keep him - I don't want him to go," he added: "That's my opinion and my wish. But my door is open and the club's door is open too. When a player wants to speak with us, we are there waiting." Inter Milan are reportedly targeting the creative midfielder.

10/01/14: Sevilla star Ivan Rakitic has revealed that he is content to stay in Spain for the time being. Rakitic has been in sensational form in La Liga this term, scoring eight goals in 16 league appearances and adding a further six assists to make him statistically the third-ranked player in Spain behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. But it seems the 25-year-old has made up his mind and is keen to carry on at the club, where he is taking the role of captain seriously. He said: “For the time being, I only think about Sevilla. I have important matches ahead of me and additional responsibilities as captain of the team, so leaving is not something I'm considering now.”
10/01/14: A Bola believes Ezequiel Garay is set to join United in the summer after being linked in the Portuguese press with a move to Old Trafford for some time. The 27-year-old Benfica centre-back is being valued in the £8million class.
09/01/14: The Daily Express claims United have made a £20m offer for Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio. The Serie A club were knocked out of the Champions League in December and reports suggest Marchisio might be sacrificed to help offset the resulting financial shortfall. The Italian is reportedly surplus to requirements at Juve with Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal ahead of him, but is on record as saying he wants to stay at the club where he has spent his entire career after coming through the youth ranks.

18/01/14: Aymeric Laporte is the latest name in the frame regarding possible interest from United with Periodista Digital suggesting David Moyes will make a move for the Athletic Club defender in the summer. The France Under-21 international usually plays in the middle but can also operate at left-back. Barcelona, Tottenham and Arsenal are reputed to be other admirers of the 19-year-old, who is under contract until 2018 and has a buy-out clause of €36million.

The Star also thinks Moyes has been handed a budget of £150million and is in the hunt for seven midfielders.
