Dari Abu Hurairah r.a. berkata: Rasulullah saw bersabda, "Barangsiapa melapangkan suatu kesukaran dunia pada seorang Mukmin maka Allah akan baginya kesukaran hari kiamat. Dan barangsiapa meringankan kemiskinan seorang miskin maka Allah akan meringankan baginya di dunia dan di akhirat. Dan barangsiapa menutupi aib orang Muslim maka Allah akan menutupi aibnya di dunia dan di akhirat. Allah akan menolong hamba-Nya selama hamba itu menolong saudaranya. Dan barangsiapa menempuh jalan untuk menuntut ilmu maka Allah akan memudahkan baginya jalan ke surga. Dan tidak berkumpul suatu kaum dalam Baitullah (masjid untuk membaca dan mempelajari kitab Allah melainkan diturunkan kepada mereka ketenangan dan diliputi rahmat, dikerumuni Malaikat dan disebut-sebut oleh Allah di depan para Malaikat-Nya. Dan barangsiapa yang lambat amal perbuatannya maka tidak dapat dipercepat oleh nasab (tidak lekas naik derajatnya)."

Dari Abu Humaid (Abdurrahman) bin Sa'ad Saldy r.a. berkata: Rasulullah saw mengangkat Ibnu al-Lutbiyah dari suku al-Azd untuk mengumpulkan zakat dan ketika ia telah kembali kepada Rasulullah, ia berkata, "Yang ini untukmu dan yang ini saya terima sebagai hadiah dari orang-orang." Maka Rasulullah saw segera naik ke atas mimbar dan setelah memuji syukur kepada Allah, beliau berkata, "Amma ba'du, adapun saya mengangkat seseorang untuk suatu tugas yang diberikan. Ini bagianmu dan ini saya sendiri telah mendapat hadiah dari orang-orang. Mengapakah ia tidak duduk-duduk saja di rumah ibu atau ayahnya sehingga datang hadiah itu kepadanya jika memang benar-benar demikian. Demi Allah tidak ada seorang yang mengambil sesuatu yang bukan haknya kecuali pasti akan dipikulnya di hari kiamat. Maka saya akan ketahui seseorang yang memikul unta atau lembu atau kambing yang mengembik." Kemudian Rasulullah saw mengangkat kedua tangannya sehingga terlihat putih ketiaknya sambil bersabda, "ALLAHUMMA HAL BALLAGHTU (Ya Allah, saya telah menyampaikan)."
